林家燕 Kayin Lam
林家燕，2016年畢業於香港浸會大學視覺藝術系，創作圍繞立體幾何的延申意義，並著眼於陶瓷的本質，以此作為出發點探究不同生活狀態的矛盾，從中理解社會上個體存在的規限和定性。
Kayin Lam graduated with a BA in Visual Arts (Hons) at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. Her works revolve around simple geometric forms and the nature of ceramics. She uses that as a starting point to explore different contradictions in life and to understand the order of our society.

《正方體》圍繞著藝術家對完美的疑問。林家燕以製作一件完美的白瓷正方體為目標。在達成目標期間，她製作了逾百件作品。在不斷的摸索、失敗、修正和重覆之下，她仍然反叛地繼續嘗試從窯爐中燒製出絕對完美的正方體。透過展示其中的製成品，藝術家述說過程中於工藝上的挑戰，並演繹出對於「完美」的理解。
“Cube” circles around the artist’s question about perfection. Kayin Lam aims at making a perfect porcelain cube. To achieve that, she has made more than a hundred pieces. With continuous explorations, tests, failures, and adjustments, she is still striving for an absolutely perfect cube out of the kiln. By showing all the pieces that she has made, she demonstrates the challenges of making and attempts a reading of the concept of perfection.
