Doris Li

Li Tak Yung completed her Bachelor of Arts (honours) in Visual Arts at the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018. She was an exchange student at Nagoya Zokei University.

She uses pottery clay as her medium. She combined embroidery and ceramics, fused traditional female crafts with ceramics to form her unique creation. The transformation of ceramics during the firing process and the special features that made other materials disappear at high temperatures have become her creative inspiration, allowing her to bring embroidery to ceramic art.

Given this darkest time, we follow our instinct to search for sparkle and light. The glow of beauty will eventually guide us to dawn.
